Thanks to David for probably the easiest vehicle transaction I have ever had.

1999 UZJ100, 192k, stock

End state is a DD, family weekend rig.

Plans
Immediately:
1. Wash and detail (not that it’s that dirty but it’s how I introduce myself)
2. CD player
3. O2 sensor replacement

Long Term: (pending sale of the 40)
1. Torsion bar tweak and rear springs? (just beginning to educate myself on options but it’s a DD that will see light wheeling)
2. Front bumper and winch
3. who knows what else…?)

First chance to wheel it may be Hot Springs in May when I go to Little Rock for Military stuff. (Mike maybe we can wheel the twins?)

Here it is in the parking lot at work.

Natalie is wanting to call her “Penny”…..I like it.

Excited to be in the hundo club.

I started to type it twice and got kicked off.....govt machine

so I did a word document (black letters, white background) and when pasted had to reverse it

thanks for ruining the first post on my new truck:bang::lol:

I understand.

Well Natalie and Elizabeth LOVE it. First road test next weekend to NOLA

We will be drinking and eating too! at my brothers wedding

Will do. Build will be SLOW.

scrubbed it good inside and out today ( just in time for rain tonight)

anybody tried a steam cleaner on a headliner before? dont want to risk dry rot or pulling it down...my dad has one and I may try it.

Looks good. Congrats to you.

Thanks Martin and Greg. We love it so far!

Elizabeth and I have stopped for dinner but are changing the bank 2 front O2 sensor. So far a .5 banana job

Gray daniels wanted $400 ( 1.5 hours labor and $159 for the part!!) Autozone part $88, $9 22mm open ended wrench and we save $300

Its just a bugger to get at it! But we are doing ok so far. Once on I have to disconnect the battery for 30 mins to reset it and then let it idle for 15 to reteach the computer.

From what I read mpg should slowly rise as a result

old on left, new on right.... 1.5 hours by a professional mechanic? how do they sleep at night?

the schematic in this thread gives you everything you need to know about 02 sensors!

done.....ironically that $300 I just pocket went to Natalie's birthday presents she opened earlier.....guess I broke even.....

I have alot more confidence with mud to fall back on, ya'll, and all I did to the 40.
I'll test gas mileage going to NOLA thursday.

oh goodnews...I checked the Bank 1 and it looks brand new.....tag on it even so David or someone had done it recently. I read the 2 after the manifold both bolt on with 2 screws so I located those while I was on my crawler and they look older but I'm leaving them until it throws a code.

Updating my thread.....funny how that first post of what I wanted to do has changed.

I did end up wheeling a little with Mike in Hot Springs
Sliders were installed with Andy's help
Chris hooked me up with TGs

Fixed a bad O2 sensor, replaced the cd player

and i've ordered a lift from MT (ironman)
