The best option right now for sourcing the high beams is the guy on eBay.

I had a GE JDeere bulb (I beleive that the JD ones are Toshiba now) burn out a month or so ago after about two years of service; bought their replacement from this guy. Ordered them on Sunday, had them by Wednesday.

Yes, but Ali had already bought the low beams from the J Deere dealership, which price wise is still the best option.

I agree. I spent $60 for bulbs and $40 for a Slee Harness, and after spending $100, my desire to install some Hella or Lightforce lights is greatly diminished. Not gone, just diminished.

I used the file on my Leatherman, it took about 1/2 an hour to do both.

I'm very impressed by the light output from these bulbs, and I haven't even upgraded the harness, yet.

Bought mine today and filed them down to a nice fit. 30 minutes is accurate for a hand file. Nice output, but a slight yellow tint. Not as white as Silverstars. But the SS did not last over 6 months before burn out. I have to believe that the JD's should do much better. Time will tell.

I paid with tax $35 for the pair. Ordered yesterday and delivered to the JD facility over night. Nice deal.....I hope.

What brand is on yours? Also, the white of a Silverstar in my opinion is to harsh and gritty which will cause fatigue in sustained driving. You'll like the HIRs much, much better.

Anyway, what brand are yours??

Excellent - those are the good ones, then. What store chain did you order them through? I'd like to give a set to my brother in law for his 80 and get some spares - that's a great price and I'd like to take advantage of it.
