Swapped out the radiator and hoses today, took about 3 hours. Biggest hassle was removing the transmission cooler hoses rom the radiator. They were baked on pretty good. Also reinstalling the hose clamp on the lower radiator hose on the engine block. Not a lot of room to get the pliers on the tabs.
I also swapped out the standard cooling fan for a 10 blade fan.
Nice! Did you go with a stock radiator, or aftermarket?

I went with this:

This is the 10 blade fan I installed:

Upper and lower radiator hoses:
1657267070 & 1657167070

In the past I have had mixed results with all aluminum radiators. They look great but some are better than others.

Cool, and thanks for the links! If you think of it, post and update after some months how that radiator is working for you.

I wish people would put links or at least parts numbers when they do a project. Next up for me is brake pads and rotors. After many searches I can’t find any posts with solid part numbers. I will post up when I find them.

Crap, sorry - I did my brakes all around and didn't post anything about it. Early Sequioa parking brake hardware, 4th gen 4R rear rotors and pads (used Centric rotors, Akebono ceramic pads); 3rd gen 4R V6 front rotors and pads (Centric and Akebono again).

Started welding up my slider kit from Coastal Offroad. So far I am very impressed with the fit and finish of the pieces.

Installed these bulbs in my gauge pod this morning. What a difference and a 2 minute job. I could hardly read the gauges beforehand. If you have not used LED bulb before they are polarity sensitive. If they don't light up, rotate the holder 180 degrees and reinstall. View attachment 3184413

Wow, I’ve got to do this! Are these just a standard LED bulb? Is there a wattage/lumen rating?

One of the bulbs in my HVAC panel was burned out and it was hard to see all the button labels at night. I ordered a set of green, T-4 LED bulbs and installed them today. Huge improvement over the incandescent bulbs.

Thank you for these links, think I'm going to do this.

I swapped a 4Runner radiator into mine with crossover hoses cobbled together, but not happy with how it turned out. Can't get the hoses to quit weeping coolant. I want to go with as close to a factory setup as possible.

My latest project, Coastal Offroad sliders. Welded them up a few weeks ago and finally found time to finish them up. I welded the sliders up in my garage and welded the mounts together on my buddy's 2 post lift. This would have been a painful project to do laying on my garage floor. The did go right together, Coastal does a nice job with their fit and finish. You will need a 220v welder, most of the structure is 3/8".
