Pretty pictures. I didn't realize how incredible the icicle falls were on the left until I drove past, just covered the side of the mountain. This is why I love winter road trips.

Good thing you got those wheel wells cleaned up protected for that salty snow...

There is no road salt in the park. It was beautiful. Also very little traffic, as I climbed the hill to Columbia Icefields I was making new tracks in the snow! Now Calgary is a different story, $10 this morning for car wash, and it's already covered in white s**t salt!

That is a beautiful drive in the winter. Must have driven it 10-15 times already this year. If the weather isn't on your side, that road isn't very nice to travel this time of year, and a lot of "semi" traffic. Valemount is a good stop, bring a sled or rent one, best way to enjoy that weather!
Cheers!

I got home last night. No pics, left Calgary at 3, tucked into the Sportsman Hotel in Merritt at 9:45, on the road with a cup of
tiger sweat from McD's at 5, Breakfast in Hope at Rolly's ( best breakfast! weak coffee, behind the Chevron on Hwy 1) Can you imagine,
not one other car on the road down the Coc, no snow on Dec 18,

I hate all douches with LED/HID/blue, yellow, white - aiming all motherf'n direction - don't / won't / can't find the switch to dim /
aux driving light infested pick-ups/semi's/tuner's and all the other f'n morons with illegal lights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ESPECIALLY you idiots with sleds in boxes/trailers jacked up projector equipped pcs of sh*t running convoy with 30,000,000,000 candlepower
HID's

I rant. :flipoff2:

I have HID's and there isn't a single person who doesn't flick their rear view mirror to dim or flip me a nice one. Could be the height of them too. Could be just me, but I noticed with the blue you need more light to in the rain. That when I switch to my aux lights

Nothing wrong with HID's...... Nothing wrong with good Halogens. The problem is putting HID bulbs in Halogen housings. Its illegal and for good reason.

The problem is there is no control on the part of the users. Overbright, illegal output as well. Poor directional installation,
the whole combination.
There is no rationalization for it.

The proper housings have a distinct vertical cutoff. Just look carefully at any of the OEM luxury car (BMW, MB, Lexus, etc) HID setups at night and it's easy to tell. Keeps the light on the road and out of people's eyes.

@franken60, yeah H4s are a halogen bulb housing. They do actually have a vertical cutoff also when used with the H4 halogen bulbs. I actually really like H4s.

There are probably HID housings that fit our trucks and are well designed. Just a matter of looking. LEDs are gaining popularity now too.
