January 18th Trail Ride - Schubarth Trail (1 Viewer)

Hi Everyone,

This Saturday is the scheduled run. Schubarth Trail

Usually this is the "snow" run, but I am not sure what it's looking like up there currently. I am unable to make it this Saturday, but if you would like to lead or follow, please post up and let everyone know.

Plan on meeting at the Alta gas station on the south side of Woodland Park (Crystola), between 8am and 8:30am. Departure time is 8:30am.

Drive US 24 to Woodland Park. Take Rampart Range Road to Loy Creek Rd. Depending on snow, should be an easy run 3-4 difficulty.

Bring a lunch, we'll stop along the trail
Bring recovery gear/chains if you have them just in case.
Bring a snow sled if you want, may find some areas to sled.
Should be done be early-mid afternoon

I'm hoping to get another friend and his 4-Runner to join as well, so far he's in.

About how long do y'all reckon we'll be out on the trail? I've not run this before and my buddy is asking. Rough estimates are close enough, lol. Thanks!

2 to 3 hours maybe...depends on snow conditions! Snowier...longer...

Can a lifted FJ40 get through there without destroying my soft top? Looks like a lot of low hanging limbs from what I’m seeing online.

Hey guys, I woke up sick this morning and am not gonna be able to make it. Will shoot for next time!

Good turnout today...12 rigs. Lots of doggo's and a few kiddo's, too. We had 100s, 80s, a 40, some pickups, Tacoma, 4Runners, and two Isuzu Troopers!

I'm bummed that I didn't get a good photo of the orange 5th Gen 4Runner; it was a good looking truck! Lighting and shadow were never right/good, the images I got were poor. But it was a looker!
