Yeah, the surprising thing is, when someone asks me "how much for your LandCruiser?" I say $35K, and
I've had 2 people think about it - scared the hell out of me! New collector toy.

I just wish that with all of the technology, why not a new version? Is it true the
engine they are planning is really only capable of about 20 mpg?

That article is so funny, because this is just a small limited edition release in Japan only. Meanwhile this exact vehicle is still being sold in volume in Australia, Saudi Arabia etc. I wonder if they wrote the article partly to gauge interest in a possible North American market for the 70 series?

Jon, I think they are talking about the 4.0l 1GRFE V6 that is used in the Tacoma etc. here in North America. It's actually put in the 70 series in Saudi Arabia already. I'd prefer to see the newer V8 turbo diesel that they have in the Australian 70 series wagon. It gets closer to 30mpg I think.

Yeah, no diesels in the Arab countries from what I understand, but who cares when gasoline is 7 cents a litre. This article was brought up in
Chat down below in the forum, I must have misread someone stating the diesel is 6 km/l, which is quite poor. Lots of misinformation I think.
