So the LX is just a hybrid GX right? I mean, it is the same.

One is based on the Land Cruiser, the other one on the Prado series. There maybe common components, there will be many different.

In relative terms, one is a Yaris the other a Corolla. Sharing many components, one a class down from the other.

GX is an LC with a different power plant
LC is a 4R with a different body
4R is a Taco without the bed
Taco is a Tundra with a smaller body and engine
Tundra is a Sequoia with a bed

All on the "same" frame, just two different engines, with or without electric motors.

Oops, I was under the impression that it was. Guess you just get a different body for your $40-50k.

My point is that the lines between all of the truck/SUV models are quite fuzzy now.

Effectively the current top of the line Toyota SUV and King of All Roads is the 300 series and by extension the LX600. I am not thrilled about the twin turbo setup and complexity of the same but thanks god they have not added hybrid complexity.

A second hand LX600 of a couple of years therefore remains an option in say 2028, with hopefully by then CBI bringing out a front bumper to cut down on the size of the hour glass grill.

I think a sticker would be funny as hell.

What would be even better is a chrome lettered factory looking badge to add "-ish" below the Land Cruiser emblem on the back left.

I bought one off of Etsy. I will probably be changing it to Land Cruiser once the 2024 is out in the wild.
