ISO torque spec for rear diff pinion shaft pin bolt...

I've got a FSM (the new fancy one, can't find my old one), but I'm having trouble finding where the torq spec is for this bolt/pin...

I put red thread lock on an tightened it pretty hard with a stubby ratchet, but I'm hoping to find the torq spec before the red thread lock set up,

I don't want to just gorilla it, because the old bolt cam apart when i used it to level the pin out... so i don't think it's very strong...

any help is appreciated.

I don't recall red loctite being called for on the pin and it might make it near impossible to get out in the future.
 
i was just being paranoid since it's inside the diff and hard to get at... I was able to pull it after using redlock to reassemble

should i put it and use blue instead?

I believe the torque is 12 ft/lbs but don't hold me to that. Go to the FAQ and look at the torque specs in there. It's buried somewhere
 
FSM says 181-325 ft-lbs. minimum is 181 ft-lbs., maximum 325 ft-lbs., keep cranking till you get within the range of 7.8-11.3 in-lbs of preload torque on the pinion.

I believe he's talking about the small retention bolt inside the differential itself. It's only an M8x1.25 bolt I believe and the torque spec on that will be very low. You're thinking about the pinion flange nut.
 
I read 110 fp. I used that. Hope I didn't over do.

If you are talking about the same Pinion shaft pin bolt then 110 Ft/lbs is way too high! It should be around 12-15 Ft/lbs.
