Well, it may be time to get out of the 90's and into the 21st century. At one time I liked the idea behind the email lists but what really made me change my mind was how you can see all posts as you scroll through them. Scrolling is a good thing, not having to open each post is soooo much nicer and more efficient.
It makes posting/sharing pics a lot easier.
The MUD board is hosted by a cruiserhead and tied to TLCA so it won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Since I have been on MUD I am surprised by the constant improvements in both hardware and software Woody (Brian) is making, showing that this isn't some amateur operation.
By far what I consider paramount to the proliferation of GCLC is the exposure here. (like the big words?) There are a lot of cruiserheads in the NE and those that do not frequent Yahoo see the club as dead. Currently the GCLC "clubhouse" is virtually dead and with the exception of the few folks that check here regularly to attempt to forward individuals on to the Yahoo site they think it is dead, which we know isn't the case. Hell, before I moved to LI in '04 I was checking here and thought the club had died all together until I found the Yahoo site. Checkout page 2 of the advertising pdf as there is some info to the traffic this site generates.

As a general statement if people asked about Land Cruiser or Toyota bulletin boards the top two that will come up are Pirate and IH8MUD. If you have frequented Pirate you'll know there is some great info available but the attitudes can be obnoxious. At least here folks are generally pretty cool and the bad attitudes stay away.
One last note. Some of you guys in the club have come up with some great setups and have a wealth of information that you are willing to share, this is a great place to pass it on to the newcomers.
Wendy says hello. With the exception of work things are going pretty well out here. We miss trees and hills but visiting Ouray over Thanksgiving helped out.
Yeah, I had trouble trying to remember my GSMTR trip.
On a side note. I know Mark uses Mac do you? I contemplating replacing my laptop with a desktop unit and with all the trouble PC's are I want to look into Mac's. Do you have any recommendations?
Cheers,
