Local Ford dealer is selling a 2011 GX 570 (I hope this is allowed) for a good price, but all the chrome looks corroded. It's not dirt. Is this normal or a known issue?

Magnesium chloride on the roads in winter. It's used instead of salt and it stains chrome. You can't remove the etching in the chrome, AFAIK, other than to replace the part.

EDIT - apparently it is also widely used for dust control in Wyoming.

Glad I could help. There were a few dings in the paint here and there. I didn't really dig into it too much, but it seemed like an okay condition otherwise. Definitely not pristine. Some of the buttons that hold down the engine shroud were missing.

This seems to be par for the course. I had all mine in place, took it to Lexus dealer for 120k service and wouldn’t you know it, it came back with one missing. Damn savages.
