Does anyone know if Jowett Performance is still in business? I was looking to get another oil filter and drain plug system for my GX. I have it on my LC, I think I bought that one a few years ago. I don’t see anything recent on-the-line and the website seems defunct. Thanks

@bjowett is the guy

He is still around, his last post was yesterday.

No more product for now… the biz is essentially closed and I’m unsure if it will reopen.

Sad day for the enthusiast community. I understand stuff happens, just know you've got a fiercely loyal customer base via mud and IMO your product quality is top notch/second to none/insert positive affirmation here.

Aww man. I’ve been waiting years for you to re release your 200 series filter housing… Hope I get lucky finding one floating around for sale somewhere…

Sorry to hear that. Great quality stuff and customer support😪

Ha, mine is on its second 200 series. No way it was going with the sale!
I would do the exact same thing. Everything else can go with the cruiser, but that stays with me. Economics being what they are, the value of a Jowett oil filter housing has to be going up now. 0 supply, high demand!

Agreed. If the Toyota LF transfer case gear oil is unicorn tears the Jowett filter housing is the unicorn horn.

I have the first oil change on our LX coming up and it’s a real gut punch to not be switching over to the Jowett. I’ve had one our our Cruiser since the first oil change and it’s so great…hose goes right into the oil storage bucket, soooo clean.

Oh, bummer. Glad I bought two housing for both of my 200-series.

For those looking for a better way. Here is an oil filter drain tool that looks like it might make things easier.
