just curious if anybody has played with windows 10 or built there own apple machine ,
I'm messing with windows 10 right now . i didn't like windows 8 .haven't messed with windows 8.1
but i could get used to windows 10 .i like it . anybody ?
you can download windows 10 technical preview to mess with right now if you like .

as for hackintoshing i was wondering if anybody has given it a shot .it is tough for me being a windows guy . but it is fun once u get it going . i have managed to get OSX lion to run on an old Compaq Presario ,

its my first apple machine to play with i am kind of liking it . i may convert ,doh!

A long weekend every weekend , I just got switched from Sunday Monday Tuesday off after 7 years , to Friday Saturday Sunday off
maybe now i can get out to a few more outings with you guys or maybe even a meeting or too .

I remember running Unix kernels on Apple McIntosh's in the 90's and Windows emulators as well, so we could send and convert files from the real working world to our Apple play things....

I've never loved windows (Windows 7 has been the most stable of all, no crashes or any funny business in years), but macs are still too toylike and slow for me, kind of like an auto vs a standard I guess.

My son's computer came with Windows 8 and he and I dislike it very much; way too much overhead and navigation is tough to get used to. Hope Windows 10 has better features.

Microsoft just did a briefing on Windows 10 today. It's a long presentation but they went over Surface Hub, the new browser, that digital assistant forget it's name, as well as Hololens, the wearable holographic imaging reality kind of doodad.

The new stuff is kinda sci-fi, will be interesting to see if it actually becomes useful or just spawns another meme like glassholes. Wish I had time to play with Win10, I watch all the announcements and previews, but it'll arrive soon enough then we'll have to support it.

Bump. Just installed it on an old acer aspire one netbook.AOA 150, Originally Designed for windows xp,
It actually runs pretty darn good
I had to do a registry tweak to up the default resolution thought ,otherwise the apps wouldn't work. Now all is fine everything fully working. Did have an issue with a few missing drivers. But it was just the drivers for the card reader found them for windows 8 and installed them on windows 10 all fine.


Ps.
I had windows 7 on this netbook also to see if it could handle the newer operating system and windows 10 seems to run smoother and faster than windows 7 did ?
