I am looking into a Titan 2000lb adjustable and mobile gantry. The main purpose for this lift would be regular removal of the hard top from a '73 FJ. I dont have a garage, or a group of friends for this sort of thing. I am a small guy so I thought this would be the safest solution. This particular gantry can be rolled over the truck and is supposedly easy to setup and break down. It is a large upfront investment, however, for an oddly specific need. Although it would be great if I need to remove the chevy engine at some point i guess.

A gantry would be handy for lots of stuff, if you have the room to store it when not in use.

yea storage is a whole other issue that will need to be addressed soon haha

A gantry would be handy for a lot of things, but they're pretty expensive. I just disassemble and remove the roof by myself.

I won't consider your gantry overkill if you don't consider the bridge crane I'm putting in my workshop overkill…

When I built the workshop I designed some extra capacity into the beams, but not that much!
