Hey guys,

I recently installed the Ironman Adjustable Bushings and I had resized their .PDF template to actual size (185mm between holes), so when you print these documents you can actually use them as a template on top of your control arms.

This is the template for maximum height lift 3" - 4" , which should yield a 3.5 Degree correction.

These templates will print in normal Letter size paper, just make sure there are NO resizing options selected in the acrobat print options menu before printing and they should come out to a perfect fit.

Just before you print verify the "Print Scaling" option in acrobat is set to "NONE"

Just wanted to share and hopefully make someone elses install go smoothly.

how does it feel with those casters? feedback?

I just got done installing the 4" Ironman Lift.

But the Steering Damper came with no instalation hardware, so it's pending.

The first day, BAD....

The allignment was WAY off, I could not keep a straight line at 40mph +. After haveing it alligned, it showed that the TOE in was off by a lot.

Got the allignment done, but I'm also waiting for the PanHard Rods. Even then the Allignment went well and CASTER was in the green area. (computer alligned) If I recall corerctly the computer showed around 3 degree total caster. Which is good since I got a good 4" of lift (3.75" front and 4" rear).

Now, I can keep a straight line at highway speeds, but I have a little play in the steering wheel. I'm going to wait until I resolve the Steering Damper, probably tomorow, before I inspect the steering box for play.

I think I have just about 1" of play in the steering box, but wont go into it untill I install the Damper.

I will post more details in my other Ironman Install Thread, when I get some pics (tomorrow I hope)

I have to say I'm really happy with the lift, I got plenty of lift and its not STIFF, I find it nice. I was expecting a Harsh stiff ride, but I'm glad to report that is not the case at all...

Note for future users of this template:

This max setting for these adjustable Bushings will cause your TIE ROD to rub against your Control Arms pretty hard.

Be ready to grind. How much is still in progress, will update.

Good info Sir!

UGH on grinding, but good to know. thanks! i have these in the box to go in since i can't get to where i want to be on OME correction bushings...

I checked my CASTER angle at another alligment shop, ( I know OCD).

and they showed me to be at exactly 3 degrees caster with just the bushings.

i just installed these today at the 2.5 degree setting and it rubs very lightly on the right hand side but is about 1/8' clear on the left. so i can imagine with 3.5 you would need to do a fair bit of grinding.

they made a vast improvement in handling though, i just need to go get an alignment done now.

hows this been doing for you now thats there's a few months under your belt ? I have to put a set in for a friend poss this weekend.
Thanks for the PDF, should come in handy

My lift is in between needing the 2.5 correction and not needing any, still handles better with the correction. I have noticed that the shock body rubs on a brake line bracket on the axle, and I still need to clearance my radius arms.

I can report zero bump steer on long trips on terrible Australian roads. I just need more lift.

worked well , for the 3.5 deg unit last week , just had to do a little clearance grinding (more then I thought ) for the tierod

I noticed the other day that the axle having rotated back is causing my big bore shocks rub on a bracket on the axle when flexing, but only just. Meh.
