Here's what I mounted up yesterday:

I was originally going to use the magnetic mount available from ProClip, but it places the phone at a lower position than I prefer.

I used the Hondo Perfect Squeeze in my Tacoma and loved it. I see they now make a wireless charging version, so I may need to update. Hondo also sells a limited number of Ram Mount products.

Now that is a phone mount!

Here's what I did. I drilled a hole in the plastic trim and reinforced behind it, but I'm not too worried because if I ever really want to go back to stock, it's only about $70 for that piece.

I have the ProClip mount and highly recommend it. Easy to mount, superb placement, and very secure

I have a Scosche Magic Mount mounted on the AC vent. No need to move my head to glance on the screen, and the phone is within reach of the 12v socket for charging. No drilling too, I hate drilling holes on my cars especially in the interior.

Interesting discussion. Wish I could use the ProClip center dash mount but they don't make it for '13 LCs.

I've toyed around with the idea of grabbing some abs plastic (or maybe aluminum) and making an angled mount/plate to cover the ashtray area. Then move the 12v and usb plugs to the new plastic cover. From there figure out what to do for mounting my phone (attach ram mount, build something into the abs plastic, etc).
