This is my no runner what u think for 700 beans. has junkyard motor in it that ran great 6 years ago. when it was parked right now it has middle two injectors cloged. Pulled them now decideding on to have witch hunter redo them or buy new but got a thread for that. anyway what you think. Got 32 11/50 tired on it two bfg and two no name but already bought 4 more 32 inch bfg at for it so i got 6 bfg and 2 no name. Already picked a w56 5 speed for it up with all pedals linkages. nuts bolts anything to do with the 5 speed swap got. needs new shocks. brakes feal funny. but that could be from motor only running on two pistons
need to figure out how my friend unhooked rear heat. to hook it back up. . what kind of milage you think it will get 22re and auto versys w56 5 speed.?
cant think of anything else coments sugestions wellcome. o im in bmore if anyone wants to go do trails road this week once i get the injectors back in

whats difrent about it? its a 1986

86... I bet it is one of the ones that came over without a back seat and the dealer added it once it got stateside. Some of the early one came to the dealer lots with a floor pan/ bed extension and no back seat. I have read that a lot of those just got whatever kind of seats they had around put in them, so it could be a car seat, but looks like one that they made "custom" .

Definitely a cool find for $700 bucks.

And mileage with the 5 spd will probably be in the high teens I would guess. Not going to as good as a pickup just because of the extra weight.

back seat folds flat to. bottom cushion flips up top flips down. im in baltimore and back when they use to come in as striped down trucks and they would add the rest. that was mostly done here in baltimore down the port. Friend of my dads was one of the guys who use to do it . Got any pics of other style back seats?

so does anyone got pics of there back seats lets see what difrences they did.

Here are the seats in my 88, which I am pretty sure are a Factory install since mine is a later model.

After looking at that picture a little closer, I think that someone made a seat out of the floor extension. In the picture it looks like the back of the seats is metal with some vinyl attached, is that correct? If so then I bet someone, probably the dealer, had some foam covered and attached to it to make the seat.

Either way, that is wicked cool that you have one with those seats.

:hillbilly: Sorry, the wicked cool just kinda slipped out.

i was just out there looking at it and the upper back cushion is actualy held on with a strip of velcro at the top and theres a strip down at the bottom it can actualy beremoved unziped remove the cushion and wash it i bet. the steal its atached to has the same decking metal as the floor in the cargon area you no raised and lowerd like curogated decking . I can also acess my fuel pump threw the floor under the rear seat is that normal?

I believe the fuel pump access is normal.

Looks just like my 86, cept the exterior of mine is red.
Same type of rear seat that folds up. Metal back w/ the same brown vinyl on top. Same brown interior.

My fenders are worse off though, prob gonna just chop them. I'd be interested to see if you go w/ some flares. I have some new aftermarket front fenders i'd sell if you really want them.

my 86 has the same back seat, so i think that it was done once the truck got here, sorry no pics, my 84's original back seat was worse than that, and sorry no pics of it either, but it was held in the upright position with cotter pins. now i have the rear seat from a 90 runner in it, and a rear seat from an sr5 that i am going to have re upholstered to match my new carabue's.

Nice find, im jelous now.. Seems as though GA is not the most plentyfull place to
find semi clean 1st gen runners. (sigh) i guess ill just have to keep looking/saving :P

theres a strap on the back of the back seat i pull to release it to fold it down. I actualy like the seat. Jynx when u fold urs down does it fold flat like a fj62 or does it stay slightly tilted up like a cheroke. i need to get some sandpapper and some rustoleum to hit the fenders off in there rusty spots. but other then the fender lips no real rust. once i get the injectors done. And i can drive it . I got 4 more bfg at to go on it. altogether i got 6 BFG AT 32 11/50s to go on it and two off name ones. Im hopeing it will be good in the snow with them. I plan on going to seneca rocks this winter. and doing dolly sods once it snows. Sign say impassable in winter. Done it in a yj wrangler few years back and had a blast. Hopeing the norunner floats on the snow. Also need to do my 5 speed swap. but secretly im hoping the auto is still good.

It has been a while but if I remember correctly the bottom folds up and the back folds flat. The hinges are in the recess so it pivots below the rear deck and folds flat. Very similar to a wj grand cherokee.

I may have a picture of it folded flat, I will double check.

my ex had cheorkee and when seats were folded they werent flat almost flat but not flat. they tilted upward and made sleeping uncomfortable. reason im asking is it looks like your backseats sit higher on the back rest then mine. ide have to sleep on ym side in mine in order to keep tailgate shut. if yours are higher in the back that means more legroom. i got a pick n pull junkyard across the street. its got me thinking.

injecotrs are in the mail sent them out friday. hopign to have them back by friday . and maybe just maybe be able to take it down the woods for the first time and see what it can do.

no i wish i was. i dont get payed till the 15th. dont have money for registration right now. and wont no if my auto transmission is good till i get these injectors back and installed. then it should run fingers crossed. If trans is shot. im probly gonna end up spending all weekend doing a 5 speed swap. i want it done but man it be nice to just be able to drive and play in it alittle bit first. if trans is good im gonna take it down to little local spot. to make shore 4 wheel drive works then take it to a spot bout hour from me called trails road on the pa line. got some rocks to play on be good place to see what its weakness is.
