At the last meeting I realized that many of the locals haven't seen much of the 40 because they don't spend much time in the 40/55 forum. So here it is...

Special thanks to: Morb for 80 series brake booster & master, fjeng for the Firestone air bags, Seapotato for the glass fenders, Rigpig for 3.70 gears, Helbent40 for wiper motor parts, and the many (30 or so) other Landcruiser owners who've helped supply parts to make this truck what it is... I couldn't have built it without you.

For more detail Check out the Build and Hadrtop threads in my signature line... And the many other threads listed in them.

Bought towards the end of 1991, I first went through and fixed the drum brakes, horn, wipers, and misc odds and ends to get it road worthy for January 1992. Since then it's had front discs, a fabbed 1/2 tub, a new frame, a FF rear axle, 350 conversion, on board air, Rear disc conversion, new front shock towers, 3.70 gears, Aux rear tank, 8" wide Tuffy lockbox, 81 hardtop with hatch, rear air bags, and 80 series Booster & Master.

To do:
Scout II powersteering conversion
3.70 gears in the front
Rear 1/4s

YOu will like the scout power steering, drove Too Talls with simular setup and could turn 37s with one finger...

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I've heard from a couple people with 37s that it works very well. I Decided it was time to get power steering when my arms stopped working as well as they used to. With 33s, it won't even brake a sweat.

Nice to see pictures and details of your rig bikersmurf. Impressive that the original body work you did way back is still super solid! Well done.
