Hello…Just stopping by to say hello and introduce myself and say "Thanks." I live near Richmond, Virginia and, after lurking on these pages for months, am new to the Land Cruiser Community.

I always wanted a Land Cruiser but found them to be financially out of reach. I owned a 1995 Bronco in the past that was finally defeated by rust at 201k miles and 23 hard years…and I own 2 x 4Runners – I am a Toyota truck fan these days.

Recently, I realized that Lexus LX 470’s were gussied-up LC 100’s and stumbled on a well-priced 2000 LX 470 with 150k miles in pretty good overall shape but with a botched-up-half-@ssed attempt at an AHC delete (It was sitting on the bump stops and rode like total s#!t…thus the good price). I decided I needed to have it and took the plunge. I limped into our local 4x4 specialist and they hooked me up with a new OME suspension kit (shocks, springs, torsion bars), a timing belt job, new control arms and a new A/C compressor (that one was a surprise) -- Anyway, this thing now rides great (like a leather-lined tank) and guzzles gas – and, I am loving it so far.

In any case, thanks to all for posting such great the information on these pages over the years – it really helped me with my decision to buy this truck and gave me confidence that the botched AHC delete could be overcome. So far, so far so good. All The Best, and Happy Thanksgiving.

Didn't take any "before" pics...here it is with the new suspension and running boards pulled...Nothing special, but a nice, stiff OME suspension and an engine that purrrs like a lion.
