We're getting there! These will get scotch-brite'd for uniform surface finish & then clear-coat anodized.

I keep getting distracted with other projects - but I'm back on this now!

Finalizing the design & tolerances for the 3d printed center caps today. Gotta scotchbrite all the aluminum faces & get them anodized - maybe this week? I'll post them up here first for a day or two when they're done before sharing FB/Instagram - if you're truly interested in a set, shoot me a PM so I can make sure you get one!

4x flat caps will be $160, 4x of the tall (fluted) caps will be $185 (a bunch more material + print time in these).
Hardware that attaches the machined, aluminum faces to the printed parts is all stainless (countersunk screws + recessed nuts behind - no threading into plastic here!)

For folks interested in the tall caps - the metal faceplate were machined from a Blanchard ground piece of stock, and have this snazzy pattern on them. What's everyone's thoughts on leaving this vs scotchbriting it all to a uniform finish? (like what I showed back on the first page with the test piece).

I like the main pattern, but there are also a few trace lighter marks nearly perpendicular to the main angle of grind - so take a good look and let me know what you think.

I like the pattern, but I think I’d have to see it on a wheel to know for sure. It would probably hide scratch marks well.

I actually ended up leaving that pattern - turns out, it's too deep for a scotchbrite belt to take out anyways, hahaha.

Just need to get them off to anodization!

Bump for an update? Very interested in you taking my money.
