OK... i'm trying to find some good insurance for my Hj45 and i know they will ask me what i think its worth. I have no idea. This is why im am asking you guys since yall are the experts. It runs, drives, stops, starts, decent paint, 44,000 miles. Im on Hagerty website now and they are asking for a value. Any clues?

When I had to insure my 65-45, my insurance company only wanted to insure it for blue book(yea right), we agreed to have an appraiser come out and look at the truck and come up with a value. The value was way more then what blue book was, so I have a policy for an agreed amount.

To save you a lot of hassle - sell it. ;) I'd love to have a diesel 45. . . . .:bounce:

Well if you sell it you'll know exactly what its worth

I had my 1978 FJ45 appraised in 2007. I am in Calgary and the body is fairly beat up. The drive train is great. It came in at $8700CDN. The appraisal cost about $100.

The premium for HJ is maybe 50%. Check out a local appraiser of classic cars and rods.
