I'm swapping crank pulleys to a 2F double pulley one for P/S, I've removed the old crank and am trying to install the new one.
The old one took a LOT of cranking on the puller to get off.
I cannot get the new one or the old one back on.
I measured the ID of both, they measure to the same 1/64", but the needle is just a tiny bit to the left of the mark for the new pulley.
I rented a harmonic balancer installer, however my crank doesn't have the threaded inner hole needed to use an installer.
I've cleaned the shaft and the ID of the pulley with sandpaper, greased both, and checked the keyway and key for any mishapeness, etc.
I tried heating the I.D. of the pulley with MAPP gas to get it to expand to no avail.
I'm out of ideas and need some help. I really need to have my truck back on the road tomorrow. Thanks.
