Hi everyone,

Asking $10,000 obo. Willing to help deliver.

After many years I have decided it is time to part with my beloved 3rd gen 4runner. I've driven it all over the country and had many adventures, so I'm sad to see it go. I bought it in Arizona around 2000 when I got my first "real" job out of college. It was the vehicle I always wanted, but could never afford up to that point. The vehicle was in Arizona up until 2006 when I moved to Indiana for work. Since then I've used it as a daily driver and for trips back and forth to Arizona and Colorado. Living in Indiana I am just not able to use it the way I would like to and I have a new daily driver. I have it stored right now to avoid the winter weather.

The bad:
There is some rust on the fenders and rocker panels shown in the pictures.
There is some rust on the rear bumper. (I always planned on replacing with an aftermarket bumper but never got around to it.)

The good:
Replaced engine with JDM engine in 2023. Bought from JDM of Ohio and installed by Fort Wayne Toyota. (I have receipts - $7400)
Lift with Bilstein 5100s and OME 2881 springs
The frame has no rust and is in good shape.
New custom exhaust
5-speed, 4x4, with e-locker that all work

Mileage shows 293,356, but engine was replaced at 271,808 with a Japanese Direct Market engine from JDM of Ohio (JDM of Ohio – JDM Engines Parts and More - https://www.jdmofohio.com). I asked them what the mileage of the engine was and they said they don't know exactly, but that they never buy an engine with more than 64,000 miles. So, the 4runner has at most 85,548 miles on the engine.

What is different about the JDM motor you put in VS the USDM engines? Is there anything on there that isn't what would pull up at the dealership or O'reilly's or was everything swapped over from your old engine? Is the suspension squeaky, or still pretty quiet? Any issues with power locks/windows?

Thanks!
Clark

Sorry for the delay. I didn't get a notification that someone responded. My understanding is that there were some parts that they had to swap from the old engine when they did the exchange. Everything was done at the local Toyota dealer here in town. The suspension is pretty quiet since I replaced the springs and shocks. Made a big difference in the ride. All the power locks and windows work, even the sunroof. I just moved it into storage to keep it out of the snow we got over Thanksgiving.
