94 4Runner, SR5 V6, 4WD, 5spd. 31/10.5/15 tires. 128k miles. no mod, no lift.

i clocked the the actual speed using GPS, it matches the speedometer reading.

one more problem i need you guys' help. i know there's a recall on the steerling relay rod, according to Toyota, it was corrected in July of 2006. here is what i got now, when it's parked, if i turn the steerling wheel all the way to the left, then slowly moving forward or reverse, i could hear a LOUD clunk. but, when i turn all the way to the right, everything is fine. could that be the same relay rod issue or something else.

thanks.

The noise is probably the steering stops, they are on the lower A arm and look like little ramps, just give them a little grease and it will quiet down.

I had a 90 4Runner V6 Auto and that thing cruised on the highway in overdrive. 70 and 3k sounds about right. I don't know what the overdrive ratio is so I can't work out the math, but it sounds good.

And welcome to Mud! :flipoff2: (Mud salute) If I missed greeting you! :D

I dont grease them. Cause the noise dosent bug me, and I usally dont turn to full lock.

But if i was to grease them, I would use Bigfoot MP grease.
cause it is VERY tacky, and is difficult to remove.
