*DISCLAIMER* not looking for handouts.

I know this may be an alarming title, and I don't want my message to be misconstrued. I am just trying to "network" and see if there is someone out there that works for a company that is involved in supporting veterans with school items.

My basic background. I joined the Marines at 21 after two years of volunteer work in Sweden. I got married at 22, deployed that same year, came back and started going to night school. I have since completed my associates degree through Central Texas College with a 3.2 GPA.

I have applied to a few schools in both Utah and Texas, I have been accepted to the University of Utah, The University of the Incarnate word in San Antonio and am waiting to hear back from the University of Texas San Antonio as well as UT Austin. I am really hoping to get into UT Austin as they have a great business program. I plan on studying International Business.

My dream job is to eventually be able to open my own expedition outfitting shop. A one stop place where people can bring their rigs and get all the goodies put in from one location. I would hope to be successful enough to travel this beautiful nation with friends and family.

I am more than willing to sit down and talk to any member on here about my experiences in the Corps, what it was like being deployed and the re-adjustment that comes along with it, as well as going to school while in the military. Like I said above, I am not just looking for a handout from anyone on this forum, I just know that some people on here may have employers that have money burning holes in their pockets!

Why do I want an iPad? I love Mac products and think they work brilliantly. I put my old black MacBook through the paces in Afghanistan and it just kept on ticking. I realize the importance of modern electronics in the school system, especially at a school like UT Austin.

Didn't realize I was, so can't say.

I, like you, am a ifan, BUT my old ass, antiquated, POS 4S crashed last night. Went through the arduous process of restoring early, early this morning (lost sleep over).

Since, (and since the iOS6 update) everything is screwed up......but I think I was on the "active topics" tab (which I hadn't explored, before) and I'm drawn to verbiage like "free" the same as any.

Edited: I am the only Okie on the SoCalFJC forum, though. Hahahahaha. Have several "buddies" that are your neighbors (theoretically speaking).

I understand, ever since I updated my iPhone4 to iOS6 I have been having issues. Glad I could draw you in ;) I hope you weren't disappointed!

Would prefer that it has 3/4G on AT&T. I have thought about waiting for the mini to be available. That way I could share with my wife as she is a full time student and carried her 15"MacBook around for the last two years without complaint.

There's IPad Mini's with wifi + cellular, IPad 2's with 3G, then an IPad (3?) Retina Display with wifi+cellular.

Since you begging, might as well be choosey and descriptive.

Ok, since beggars can be choosers, but only on mud...

First preference is a Black ipad mini, 32gig wifi+AT&T Cellular

Second preference is a black iPad with retina display, 32 gig wifi+AT&T cellular.

In the spirit of full digression, I will definitely have the ih8mud app on my iPad, I will also use it for a GPS in my LC.

Bahahaha.

Many of us were nestled snugly in our beds, next to our spouses, and not far from our kids, oblivious to those that were half a world away, battling for their lives, all for the sake of "strangers".

That's the most incredible thing that can be done for "strangers".

That's why "stranger" was in quotations, only because we have never personally met. We now have quite the history via pm discussions.

I asked for your address so I could send you a card and a cool USMC vinyl decal my wife had made up a couple years ago. If you are concerned with your safety you can give me the address if a third party and pick your card up from there ;)

Delancy is a good guy. How do I know this? He stands by the used parts he sells. Others might say sold as is but Chris went above that with a transaction I am aware of. I know him from one of the fjc forums. This made you a better guy.
