Didn’t park far enough back into the garage, it’s a tight fit. Wife decided to close the door I left open. I usually always check before I close. Guess I just touch it up with touch up paint?

I could put a plate on there to cover some of it. It’s gouged into the plastic. Yes I know my front camera is cracked lol.

If it makes you feel any better...
I did a similar thing, except I was backing in so it got my spoiler edge. Oh, but for 3/16 of an inch. I added another "stupid" trophy to my already vast collection.
Reminds me to do the touch up

Yea I think a touch up probably will blend it in. It’s got a big scuff from the prior owner on the bottom.

I am tired from a long shift at the FD. Def should have just pulled farther back lol. I am peaking at some aftermarket bumpers

Did the same thing to our Toyota Avalon's rear bumper. Sadly the bumper was replaced just beforehand due to a rear end collision. So yeah I know how it feels.😥

A new Land Cruiser bumper is only $300, not sure how much the Lexus version is. I wanted to replace both bumpers but trying to find a decent body shop near me is the difficult part.

Don't make yourself feel too bad, I did the same to one of my bmws.

Been there but fortunately my car at the time had a front plate as its most forward part.

Won't undo the damage but to prevent this in the future, adjust the garage opener threshold sensors to bumper level so it has to clear before the door can close. If you have a double garage and cars at two heights, that sensor can be adjusted at an angle to catch both bumpers.

I did the exact same thing but fortunately you'll trim right up to the impacted part when you install....your new front bumperrrrrrrrrr!

A semi skilled person can build up touch-up paint until it exceeds the height of the surrounding paint and then color sand and buff it down to match the height.

I'd just bolt a fairlead over it and call it good! :D

Done that many times, although my garage door doesn't seem to leave much of a mark. My advice would be to forget about it.

I can definitely one-up you, though:
- I park in my garage by stopping on the street parallel to the house, and reversing in via a sharp 90 move. One time I forgot I had a utility trailer attached. The rear bumper cover took some good scratches (and the trailer's frame actually bent a bit from the impact).
- Another time I had firewood on a roof cargo tray, and was throwing it down in camp. Managed to nick one of my tail lights and crack a piece off. Glued it back in, but it's clearly visible where the piece was broken off.
- My rear, passenger side door has a tiny dent from the time it lost a fight with a 20lb propane tank.

I've had this truck for just about 7 years now (by FAR the longest I've owned any vehicle) and it has accumulated way, way more scratches and other imperfections than any other vehicle I've ever owned. On the upside, I've stopped caring about these things quite a while back, and it's a significant emotional relief. I don't care if I hit a curb, I don't care if someone nicks my door in the parking lot, I don't care if the hood adds its 500th rock chip this winter. It's quite freeing, actually.

Hang a piece of string with a cork from a wine bottle on the bottom from the ceiling of the garage. Adjust the length so that when cork hits the windshield the vehicle is at the correct location in the garage.
