Well it's been a while since I posted my intentions of getting my 94 truck set up with the Chaos Gen 2 suspension. The FJ80 I snagged last month has consumed my life, thus temporarially moving my priorities around again. I could keep living paycheck to paycheck but money in the bank is nicer than building two beasts at once. However I have installed fresh Toyota bearings in the front axle, Toyota HG's with DOA Studs and got the Chaos Uniballs (not in yet). I can't post pics yet because all of my dumb posts are in chat, I may just buy a star so I can get rid of the ads too. The Chaos Gen 2 will still happen, just not this summer.

That sucks, I like chaos stuff, it is pricey though. I met a guy last week that got his long travel from ESB. It cost quite a bit less but he said the pass side lower control arm didn't quite fit right and thought that maybe the guy didn't leave it in the jig for long enough while the welds cooled. He may be worth checking out though, I believe the company is ESB fabrications.

I have seen some of the ESB stuff, looks well built. It seems like the overall cost of long travel is bringing all of the seperate components together. I wanted to break that down by adressing things a month at a time (build the T-100 axle, buy the coilovers, rear suspension, ext). Even without the complete buildup I can still have fun with what is assembled. There's a lot of nice custom one-off (non production) long travel trucks around this region to keep me inspired.

Wow, what a big kick in the nuts this is. Driving back up the hill from Strawberry yesterday the temp gauge pegged itself followed by the white puff of death. I don't have the time or money for another HG job (I think the 80 needs more than just that anyway). At least nobody died or went to jail.
