I have an 84 x-cab p/u 4x4 w/22r. Replaced head gasket, engine ran, finished putting back together & now no spark. Have power from ign. switch to igniter, from igniter to coil, from igniter to distributor. All parts ohm correct. Tried replacing coil, ignitiion switch, p/u coil no change. Cannot find igniter in town. Before I spend countless hours & money hunting parts, need to know if anyone has any ideas? Help will be greatly appreciated.

Check your ground straps, it sounds like maybe the spark can't go anywhere once it hits the plugs.....?
If u have aftermarket plug wires; they may not function correctly.
Check timeing. Be sure plug wires go to the right plugs. I'll bet u have crossed up some plug wires. Timeing order for plugs. Double check this ; I've screwed my FJ40 so many times, I need a new brain, doh!
