sorry len but he ain't coming to the Round up!

something about his critters not allow to come

Damn thang's a work of art. Charles has a great eye for design as well as the talent to make the design into reality. :smokin:

Lil' red handle is the safety latch. Pull it and swing latch open. Connected to the steel tab which slides in the machined groove and is connected to the stainless steel shaft. Inside the tubin', the shaft is spring-loaded. Really strong ... and REALLY smooth.

The hinge is super sweet too. Got some sorta needle bearin' deals top and bottom. Spring-loaded handle locks into the bottom machined plate to hold carrier open at 90 degrees. He's gonna put a cam on the handle so it won't scratch the paint. :grinpimp:

Really beefed up the rear bumper to hold the massive weight. Split a 4" pipe and welded it on. Shaped 'em down in the middle to allow access to the rear winch rope. Capped the ends so looks like all pipe. New lil' corner guard pieces that go out the same width as the tube fenders. Nice paint job too!

Finished it off by installin' the billet aluminum license-plate holder in the middle of the spare tire. License plate light and third brake light included. :bounce::D:bounce:

Here's the back side showin' the plate mount. The license plate frame is secured to a plate which has square tubin' welded on the back. Inserts just like a trailer hitch. Weatherproof automobile plug for the wirin'. Wirin' run internal in the tubin' to keep it all clean. Release pin lifts and turns for easy removal. Springs hold tension to keep from rattlin'.:cool:

Beautiful evenin'.

Soooo ... transfer case works. Air lockers front and rear work. Big ol' KM2s float on top of the sand real nice, even with 15 psi. Calibrated the Staun deflators and added the "no-loss" valve caps. Happy with both. Compressor on the Powerplant winch aired 'em back up nicely and hose comfortably reaches all the tires.

And ... the intense heat in cab from exhaust under floorboard sucks. Tranny sometimes has all the gears ... sometimes it don't. Heater/AC controls are an adventure too. Sometimes all the fan speeds work ... sometimes only got high. No matter where ya try to direct the airflow with the control, most of it comes out defroster. Temperature selector is jammed up and won't go over half-way to the "cold" side. Suspension squeaks really bad when wheelin'. All this s***'s gotta be worked out 'fore she actu'ly goes on a wheelin' trip. :meh:

Ain't got time for none of that now though ...

back to Charles' shop for Phase II ... fabricate and install the cage in the bed to hold the tent and awnin's. :bounce2::cheers::bounce2:
