This is a long shot but wanting to buy a pre-owned ICON FJ Series (Icon4x4.com). Open to any of their models/designs so old or new school, FJ40, FJ43, FJ44 or FJ45.

I know a couple folks on MUD have one and some might know of friends/locals with one too so figured I'd ask. I've toyed with buying a new one but can't quite stomach the thought of the full retail price yet so for now looking for a pre-owned discounted one.

If you have one and are willing to sell let me know (contact me via "Start a Conversation" from my screenname) or if you know of someone with one that might entertain the right offer let me know too.

Would also consider a Stage 2 or 3 Restoration by their other brand TLC (tlc4x4.com).

Thanks!

You may know this already but...they occasionally pop up but rarely. ICON has had a few pre-owned on their site (2 40 series that have sold in the last 6ish months) and they currently have a 45 for $139k.

I've never seen a used one for sale that wasn't still in the $120-150k range and their prices for new are $140-190k. If you can afford $120k why not throw in another $20k and get exactly what you want?

You may want to contact J. Ward at ICON directly since some of his customers are reselling through him.

It is a long shot but I'm pulling for you. I love those things. Good luck with the search.

Thanks - definitely aware of those posted on the actual Icon site and have been in touch with Jonathan over the past several months and know of the incoming ones too. I hear ya though - I have seen a few fj43s sub $100k lately including one recently on eBay but you're right on they don't come up too often so small sample size for any icon model regardless.

Thanks, yea saw that yesterday and the build sheet. Would want to see their finished product first but will be interesting to see how it goes.

For ICON, another one of the incoming ones I heard about last week was just officially listed on their site:

One of the most optioned out 40s they've done so not for me as it's more used than how I'd build my preferred setup new but a very nice 40 to say the least and the price reflects it :) This one was a MUD member's truck by the way.

An icon fj45 just hit eBay for $105,000

Thanks for thinking of the thread and posting - really appreciate it. I actually traded a few emails with the seller when it was first listed (the $105k listing is a relist after first auction didn't sell). It's not the one for me, really want Gen 2 vs. Gen 1 and a 45 is the one I want the least too. Thanks again for posting though.
