The only 4 places where you can buy the pick up or cab chassis new is Australia ,Africa ,Middle East and South America.
You can probably buy them new in a few of the eastern European contries and some of the Pacific nations also but whether the dealers stock them or they have to be ordered in ,I dont know.

Depending upon the laws in your country you may be able to import a used vehicle.

The 19th largest city in Germany. Interesting history. I had to look it up.

There a few cruiserheads from Germany on here.

I reckon just about every auusie bloke has been in one of those cruiser utes! I've with got a 1992 HZJ75 with a 4.2L diesel thats done nearly 400k, and its still goin strong. Those new utes, HZJ79 with the turbo 1hz direct injection engines put out some nice power for a diesel. Same with the new Hilux diesels. If only I could afford to update.....

Hi Tonito,do they still sell the 78-79 series new in Germany or anywhere else in Europe?
I thought they stopped selling them a few years ago due to European emission requirements.

Toyota Germany (Cologne) stopped to sell the HD-Cruisers, because of the emission requirements, thats right.

BUT there are a few importers (like Tom's, extrem and Toebben) who developed an electronic blackbox for the engine to reach the emission requirements.
The bad side of this is the price. You can buy a HZJ79 for around 40,000EUR (for a TRUCK with no comfort) or you can buy a BRAND NEW Audi A4 2.0TDI with Leather, Nav-System and so on.
So there are available, but you have to be rich AND crazy to buy a new one

Oh ... btw. the engine is not dependent on the blackbox. If the bbox dies, the engine is still running

Yes that is dear but I would still prefer no comfort;). Today, in the newspaper here they have fully optioned cab chassis turbo diesel for 32000EUR
The last of the 6cyl turbo till march or april when the new V8 model arrives.

So if it falls out on the road and gets squashed, you can still get home?:D
Good;)

I thought those ones from Saudi Arabia are gassers .. 24V 1FZ-FE

The pics at the top are gassers but we are talking about the German diesels:D

I got the short wheel base 70 series with the same color and it cost me about $26,000 US Dollars. Looks like the second one.
Starting to modify it ;) any suggestions?
