Yep, everybody has their tastes! When I was first stationed here in 2000, it rained one time and we went out riding. The guys I was with were raving about how muddy it was and what not. I showed them some video of us ridin' back home and they were amazed!

The rocks out here are a blast for sure, but now you probably understand why I get on the SKINNY PEDAL a good bit. Gotsta put on a show.....we do this for fun right?? :bounce::bounce2:
I think you would enjoy Eldorado Canyon. It should be just right for your style of driving right about now.

What's it like??
It starts out in a creek bed, you can stay in the creek and rock crawl or take the road. Probably a foot or two of snow on the rocks right now. The top section is a lot of potentialy muddy and or snowy off camber stuff with deep ruts and steep drops on one side. That part is all about the right pedal.

Looks like Saturday is going to work better, if that is a problem, post it up.

Saturday morning at 0900. See you there.

Jack

cool.

No chains for me though... I tried to put an A frame extension on yesterday so I could move the axle back a bit. didn't fit!! now I have to figure out a new way to move the axle back.... chains would chew up the rear doors if it flexed!

I kind of thought you had this whole week off, sorry. :o

You sure you can't be sick on Saturday? It is supposed to snow on Friday morning into Friday, so there should be some fresh snow to play in.

No problem.

Maybe we can do Eldorado or some other place closer to my neck of the woods this month.

Sounds like somebody should plan this out.;)

Chris:Yes I have Longfield birfields and inner axles.

Are y'all going to the towers that are on the left on that peak coming into Verdi?? Coming in from the Reno side........me and a buddy went to Cabelas yesterday and I saw some towers up there to the left.

Have fun and be safe. I am heading out to Sand Mountain for the day, so I'm not going to make it up there Sat.

Nope, if you are at Goldranch, look due west up the hill, that is where the firewatch tower is.

Well, I hate to back out of this one now, but I have to. My dad needs help taking our tractor to my brothers house in Cal. tomorrow, and since he cut off the first part of his index finger on wednesday, I need to help him. I don't want him messing around with that heavy equipment in this cr@ppy weather with a huge bandage around his hand. :frown:

Its gonna be S L O P P Y!
I went yesterday up in the hills behind the power station over here...I was hosing the rig down for 1.5 hrs last noc upon my return...
Did I ever say... IH8MUD!!!
Vile nasty crap.
There was some poor lady out there in a Saturn suv...donno what she was thinking, but she made it pretty far in it...

Have fun!

I am with you Keith, I went to the Stillwater Mountains today and I ran out of money at the car wash trying to get all the mud off. And don't let Chris pick on you about the mud and snow at Bolivia - I sure didn't like that sliding around much with the cliffs on all sides.
