You mounted your shackle hanger in the wrong place ;)
those look like some hangers i've seen on someone elses rig..............jason?

I didn't say it was a bad place in general, just not the perfect location for the exact springs and shackles he is running ;)

Actually, he did a much better job boxing them in and supporting the hangers than I did ;)

:D ;)

Okay here I took a quick couple pictures. They sit about flush with the rear cross member/bumper. Didn't really lose that much clearance.

Those are some mighty skinny shackles for the length..

You might think about a bit more metal there :)

I've thought about getting some wider material. I haven't had any problems with them yet. I am not running a cross brace either so they can flex side to side.

Hmmm..

Im Slaping FJ60 rears on my rig right now too.. already made hangers, but need to fab up some shackle hangers and make or buy some shackles..

i was thinking of using some 1.5 Sch 40 Tube.. seems like the OD of the FJ60 bushing..

update:
bought these shackles from andre/dieslecruiserhead 6" eye to eye
this may be what i was after, my pinion angle changed quite a bit but i can change that easy enough.

compared to my first pics i gained a few inches of body clearance
top of tire to fender is now 6 inches :)

comments please on function :D
