I had a bad harmonic b. so I went and bought the sleeve kit(press-on) from Autozone with the locktite. I replaced the water pump today along with other things and I seen misty oil coming from the passenger side of the oil pump,mind you not bad but I felt it on the side of my face and seen a real small stream at times. Heck I have been driving for days without much oil loss.

Anyway dont bother with the sleeve kit...........its worthless just get the new oil seal and Balencer.:beer:
 
. . . . . every bandaid is worth a try once. At least it only cost you $9 and some time.
 
i also purchased a harmonic balancer puller and installer. online some where can not remember where i found it. but it keeps it straight so you do not mess up the seal. i will go look and get the brand name and post it.

light to medium tap on the "pressing screw" while you tighten -> tighten screw, tap tap, tighten screw, tap tap, etc. - maybe give a good whack on the side of the arm (on the splined bore) once in a while to try to "shock" things loose
 
I am letting it soak in PB for a while. I tried a little propane but I am scared of damaging the seal. I suppose I should change the seal anywat after all the PB that may have gotten in it.

lol. I wish I had a camera handy. My rig no longer needs an undercoating.

I was rushing to the bank about 75 miles an hour(yes a runner with 35's and re-geared can run that fast) and the seal/bushing blew out...............I lost 7 quarts in a hurry.


Part is ordered along with a new seal..............122 bucks
 
I returned that Red Top battery yesterday and one of the things I got was some of that seal s*** to pour into the oil. It is supposed to exspand.....bla bla. I think that did it in. I was going to change it anyway I was just hoping it would hold up for another week.

no pics of my truck on wife was a little md and would not take a pic. i was afraid my truck would roll down the hill if i got out. and why in the hell did the hood fly up.
 
oh my god. I am not sure what year it is(I know its a turbo and its white) I think is for sale around 200 bucks but dont quote that for me. It does run I think ,you want me to call him. he is like 3 blocks from my house.
