I've got one but you can't have my spare.

That's a lot of help :D

I need to pull it and see if the problem is the slip yoke or the splines.

If you have one, I would love to take it off your hands.

I hope you are there Greg. Can't count on you to for too many these days!

I've just gotta get my punches in when I can. Yall are quick to jump on me so I have to get yall when I can!

Later,

i have a couple of fj 40 drive shafts. I believe one is a front dshaft and the other is rear.

Cheap. Anyone have one in the parts pile? The one on my FJ-43 is shot. Something in the splines. If you have one, bring it to the meeting.

Have you tried taking it to a shop that does driveshafts?

We have one place (the only one) in the area (Montgomery, AL) that does drive shaft work and "Catfish" hooked me up. They were able to rebuilt my shaft, new u-joints, and balance it in about an hour. They also cleaned the trail dust off while on the balancing machince and it was "factory black new" when they finished.

For such a "classic" vehicle check this option out too.

I live in canton as well. Let me know If you want em.

Isn't rust, classic ?

No kidding...it's almost like country before it was cool.

Surprisingly, the drive shaft wasn't pitted too bad and I was SHOCKED. However, that gave me hope in other places on the truck. :D

I am going to do a semi-restore one day and clean up some oxidation. Thankfully, my only rust issues are on the driver's side of the vehicle. Must have been parked driver's side toward the weather in a barn or carport.

I saw your Lexus at Renaissance about 3 weeks ago outside the toy store. I love the way it looks with the huge tires.

Since this is an on-road only Cruiser, I would just like to replace the shaft with another one from a used Cruiser. Jackson Powertrain just retubed my rockbuggy shaft for $65, they could do it, I would rather just have a used one.

When I break down the front for a rebuild soon I will see what is broken on mine.

Thanks for the compliment! Did jeff get you the driveshafts on Sunday? I did not know if he was too busy "pruning " your tree with the dually & forgot to give you the d shafts ? =>

You going to the meeting?

I got him that (most likely) $700 driveshaft!

Later,
