check out what I made!

my center diff lock switch has accidentally been engaged several times either by my errant knee or by my wiggly dog. terrible placement of the button, especially in the '03-'07's (never really was an issue in my '99).

this switch cover fixes the problem and it's made of 2 parts: the lid and the base. the lid is secured to the base by 8 embedded rare earth magnets, and the base is held onto the dash by the same double-sided adhesive that's used in cell phones (it's really strong and has dimension to it). it's printed in ASA, which is the stronger and more UV-resistant cousin of ABS.

lmk in this thread if anyone is interested. I can make more and I'm thinking $38 w/ free US shipping is a fair price considering the amount of time I put into this thing. if even one person is interested, I'll make a storefront on shopify - just testing the waters before i do that.

That cover is awesome! I thought I was the only one that hit my knee on it. I always found when the button got tapped by accident it locked up and did not disengage just by tapping button again.
 
let me see if i can get them vapor smoothed so you don't see the lines on the face of it - just need a few hours. either way, I'll get it ready to buy online today, ebay or otherwise.

I forgot to mention that this only works on 03-07 100s. I have the CDL switch from my 99 and it doesn't quite fit that one bc that switch is a little more square. I can make a version that fits both, but right now it's just 03-07. I know that'll work for you @marshcat, but does it work for you @caffecapri?

Will buy one for the '99 when it becomes available.
