I just bought a 94 fj80, 3fe, looking for the best place for misc parts

As stated by Dan 100% 94, Grill "protector" atrocity will go as soon as it stops raining here in sunny so cal, it will be mostly used to safely transport my wife and four children. The reason I got involved in the grill is I want the badge gone as I hate electroplated badges (rear Toyota & Full Time 4wheel drive ordered too)

Thanks guys & Dan!

They didnt' have the right parts, so they swapped in stuff after the accident.

Welcome, looks like mine; until Slee got hold of it.

Plan on an ARB in front. Slee in Back.

...

ARB? Slee?

Sounds like someone completely repainted your truck (missing badges on rear, different bumper/grille on front, door handles cracked while removing for painting, etc). Does it have a Toyota radiator, or aftermarket?

Badges are there, they are (poorly) "electroplated" I hate gold trim. It goes.

It does appear to be a re-paint. This emblem is in the wrong place....

I am going to have it fully and properly painted it has the "racing stripe" of faded paint down the middle. It has 160k, has no rust at all, everything (except the passenger mirror) work but Dan is sending me one, and I got it for 4k with a rip free interior with third row seats in perfect condition & new Pirellis.

& it was just registered until April 07.

check for VIN stickers on all the main parts (doors, hood, panels etc)...

play with it a bit with the existing paint job so you don't mind scratching it...

A 94 will not have those stickers.

4 grand is a good deal....

Welcome!!!

Bastard grill. LMAO! Thanks Dan.

The radiator is "new" the latest po said he just replaced it for 500.00 because it was leaking. It appears to be rebuilt but I don't know for sure.

Is there a write up for the r&r of the mirror?

WOW!!! 4k that is a seriously good deal, its not a salvage title right? I got my 94 with 156k on it for twice as much and I thought I got a good deal.

The california title is clean but the NADA has a 1996 Arizona "salvage event" whatever that means. He wanted 5500 & I used that, the mirror, paint etc to get the 1500 off.

I think he had been trying to sell for a while and wanted it gone. He had a new Sequoia.

It is weird here it says no damage:
NHTSA Crash Test Vehicle No NHTSA Crash Test Record Found
Frame Damage No Frame Damage Record Found
Major Damage Incident No Major Damage Record Found
Manufacturer Buyback/Lemon No Manufacturer Buyback/Lemon Record Found
Odometer Problem No Odometer Problem Record Found
Recycled No Recycled Record Found
Salvage Auction No Salvage Auction Record Found
Water Damage No Water Damage Record Found

But here it says Salvage

Either way, it would be hard to go wrong for $4k. Nice find.

So are you prepared for the addictivness of this site and future vehicle modifications you may do. More so, is your wife prepared? Once you start there really is not stop. Enjoy your truck and welcome!!!!.

Thanks, & yes. I have shifted from a BMW convertible to this due to a new baby on the way. My Wife thinks the BMW was the problem, but she saw I was buying a manual, K&N, had already gotten the new stereo and was looking at suspension components so I think she knows that it is the person that has the obsession to mod not the vehicle. lol

Is there a site with parts numbers & diagrams like this one:?

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.d...ne=USA&prod=19900400&motor=M20&trans=A&arch=0

It covers most BMW's that is the link to my car by vin.
