Hello guys. I recently bought my truck 5 months ago. Its a 95 Toyota "mini" pickup with a 3.0 v6 and 5speed. I'm 17 still in highschool but the truck is a total project for me anyway because this is what I love. I'm in the middle of shortening the frame and putting on a custom flatbed right now. 33" TSL's will be on there way shortly after the tax return gets here and I am anxious as hell for the Solid Axle Swap at the end of the summer.
I got copy of your november/december edition for free when I ordered yukon gears to rebuild my rear. It sat and sat for these months until I picked it up and said "Wow finally a realistic magazine thats not all You NEED a Chevy or Ford on 44's to wheel!!!". I'm becoming a huge Toy advocate despite my upbringing in Chevy cars (camaros and vettes). So I think what you guys have here is a great thing. The only thing that I'm concerned with is that, well I'm not driving a landcruiser... I love them all to death but the truck was what I originally wanted. So I'm asking if I'll be looked down upon or excluded for being a "mini" guy and not driving a gnarly fj-40?
Besides that I'll throw some rig info out. Its a 95 Ext Cab Pickup with a 3.0L v6 and a 5 speed stick.
In the front:
IFS
whoops: never again on a fresh rig)
4.56's open
1.5in lift Balljoint Spacers
Skyjacker (el cheapos) shocks
Diff Breather
In the rear:
Richmond Locked
Yukon 4.56's
full third rebuild
Diff Breather
Body:
Snorkel in the works (for 2months...)
Custom flatbed with the frame bobbed at the shackle hanger (in progress)
2" soon to be 3" body lift
Tree dents... new fender and door someday
Wheels and Tires:
3spoke split American racings
33x12.5 Goodyear At/s'
Soon to be: 8 spoke rockers with 33x12.5 TSL's
After the flatbed, bodywork, and tires are finish I'm gonna paint the truck and begin the saving process for SAS. I'll be going with a Trail-Gear kit 4" lift springs, spacers, hi-steer, the whole 9. Probably wind up doing Chevy 63's in the rear and putting my rear springs upfront to save some money.
Once I'm on a competant front suspension I'll do 5.29's and 36 TSL's. In the way future I wanna do E-lockers front and rear.
Well thats me
