With our Global community , it would be nice to track these idiots down...and do some creative things with them .

~40 usernames banned this morning. ~1000 posts. A couple had 250 posts, most had 5 or so. Took me about 30 minutes to handle it all. Usually this stuff would be automatically caught within the software, but since the spammers posted everything in Korean and didn't use normal URL language, the automatic stuff didn't work.

Added in some aggressive filters for Korea/KR registrants to prevent it from happening again. Already caught/prevented a handful of registration attempts this morning. Of course, they won't try en masse again until 3am... #dumb

I know other forums simply block entire countries from registering...but with the global reach that 'MUD has, that really isn't possible.

nice woody. by chance does the automatic software handle double-byte chars? always fun working with syllabic languages.
