I did an extended oil runtime test and took samples

I have many years in the auto industry as a master tech, service manager and warranty auditor. I speak from experience. I am still in the industry. I am not an oil expert, I speak from experience and common sense.

Like the old comericials "you can pay me now or pay me later" these spoke some truth. Do what you want, but for me I go with more frequent fluid changes. It also true of brake fluid changes...I have seen failed anti lock modules due to brake fluid that had asorbed to much moisture and caused a shuttle valve to stick. You can't buy just the valve, you buy the entire module usually in the thousand dollar range...the choice is yours.

There is a reason the service interval on the brake fluid is every 24mo.
Thats how often I flush my brake fluid on all my personal vehicles. Company trucks and vans I have no say, and it's not me having to pay for a new ABS modulator anyway.

High humidity area every 2 years, dry areas like Vegas Austin Texas every 3 years.

@Jeepster09 blackstone is the leading company for oil analysis, so I think it's safe to trust what they say. His oil was clearly not dirty or contaminated.

I love these results and the advancements that are being made in lubricants and fluids. The company I used to work for used them to test our oil on all our equipment at work and I do an analysis every fluid change. The equipment's oil would always be contaminated by soot (diesel) and sometimes dirt depending on the engine. They always suggest a correct interval based off of each analysis. That's why I choose to run amsoil in all my vehicles/equipment, because I have seen personally the best results from it.

A company I drove for leased their trucks from Ryder, everytime we got new equipment Ryder would do a SOS (service oil sample) at the first PM (preventative maintence) which they did at 10,000 miles, then they would do the PM's based on what the lab results said.
Every time we got a new fleet they did this.
Our lease was always four years, we typically ran up 500,000 miles in that time.

Over the road trucks and cars/suv's are very different on the demands for the engine. When I worked with heavy equipment we changed by hours and not miles. Everything had an hour meter.

Exactly.
When I drove HAZMAT vacuum truck it was the same thing, PM's were done based on engine hours not miles.
100F day, hand throttle set to 2500rpm, full load on the PTO for hours at a time, engine fan screaming the whole time, but the cab was ice cold with the a/c. Lol

Of course, I worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for years. I was just stating that they were accurate always with their analysis and suggestions. They did hourly suggestions for our heavy equipment.
