i cant drop my stupid transmission!

so i got all the bolts i can think of out and everything and the dam thing wont drop, i got a jack underneath it i try dropping it and it just hangs there. The stupid thing is that its already a cm or two apart from the engine but it just wont come down, ive tried kicking it and using brute force but it wont move, plz help me

There Is A Bolt That I Always Miss, The One Behind The Clutch Slave Cylinder, It's A 17. Grab A Flashlight And Check To See If Any Other Bolts Are Still In. Also You Can Use A Pry-Bar To Help Pull It Out.

Have you removed the starter? The 2 bolts that hold the starter in also hold the bell housing to the engine...

Have you got the top 2 bolts? You usually have to remove the crossmember and lower the rear end of the tranny to get to them with some long extensions...

Also exh bracket bolt must be pulled to IIRC

I'm guessing that it's a manual? I have seen the pilot bearing stick, weld it's self to the input shaft, the trans moves back only far enough that the bearing hits the clutch. Sometimes it can be forced off, other times the only way is to remove the pressure plate bolts, it's a pain in the .
