Hey all, I have a few questions as I am finalizing my HZ install. While it is going into a BJ44 (now an HZJ44) it came from an HZJ45. I have a few questions about some of the wiring oddities we have encountered,

1) I have three wires to my injection pump. We were able to get the solenoid to kick by hitting one of the terminals with 12v (24v rig)/ so what are the other two wires for? They seem to be connected to something on the top front of the block side of the pump.

2) as anyone messed with the low oil sensor system? I would love to hook mine up, but do I really need the ECU?

Yep, the green one is power from ignition to the fuel shut off solenoid, the black and brown go from your RPM sensor on the injection pump to your tacho. I think the tacho might need its own power as well and is probably what sends power to the sensor.

Same again, just positive and earth to the low oil level switch in the sump, back to the light on the dash. When they stop working they don't usually get replaced here in Australia as they are about $385 new and rare as rocking horse s*** second hand.

If you're not burning oil, leaking oil and have a good bash plate, no problem :beer: :beer: :beer:
 
So here is a pic of the harness we are still trying to decode.. Anyone have any idea on the three unlabled wires? We have a black/red, a violet/white and a black wire.
