So here’s the deal,

I’ve got PSC steel adapters for the gear box,
Cummins power steering copy cat pump
And hydroboost

I don’t want to just run hose all the way everywhere, I want to bend proper hardline and just have hose at transitions.

I’m running 6AN pretty much for everything, what’s size wall do I need?

AI is telling me steel .035 should be good, macmaster rates it at only 1800psi, while stainless is 2800psi. Stainless seamless in 0.035 would cost close to $100 for 6ft. I also only have steel JIC fittings and I don’t think my rotoflare will handle stainless well.

Isn’t the only thing under real pressure from the pump to the gearbox?
I’m running some kind of factory line from the Cummins pump to the ford gearbox, everything else is just hose because I’m a slob I guess.

ETA it was the Cummins line with an adapter to fit into the ford pressure side.

Pump to hydroboost, hydroboost to gear box. Just need to know if 3/8 mile steel is fine. I was gonna do hose, but hardline just looks clean.ore tools to buy 🤷

Just looked at mine to refresh my memory. Pump to boost to gearbox as you said, my engine compartment is so tight and busy no one would notice steel line, plus we have a hydraulic hose crimper on the farm…when you’re a hammer everything's a nail…

Anyway a google search pretty much indicates 1500 psi max so assuming there’s some safety factor in the 1800 psi rating I think you’d be good?
