After being sick for 13 days, I decided to venture out to the HPU car show at what once was Oak Hollow Mall. Their blurb in the paper earlier in the week stated they expected 200 cars so I was interested. So the 40 and I went over and watched the college boys try to run a car show.
I didn't expect to win anything and I was the only 40 there, of course, the college kiddies cleaned up their yeeps and there as a Range Rover. Their choice for the best off road vehicle, their words not mine, an Ariel Nomad. I didn't take a photo because it didn't impress me.
It gets better. The best American Classic was a De Tomaso Pantera. It also got top car at the event beating out Bentleys and a Shelby Ford P/U.
The Pantera was nice, lip stick red and the engine bay was almost 100% chrome everything.
Some other memorable vehicles:
Only had about 100 vehicles there which included a Bentley dealer, Jaguar dealer and a Ford dealer. Maybe they will do better next time.
