It allows for more customization, which is always a win.

Thanks eveyone forn the input, will updater once I get it installed.

As for the random Victory hate, I have their full rack, great quality, well made, no complaints.

I'd go for option 2 unless you have a need for a winch.

The weight of the winch, mount, cable, plus the expense of wiring etc. would just be dead weight most of the time. Realistically you're looking at about $1k and 150lbs or so when all is said and done.

You could probably find a impact bar for free from someone who's installed a full bumper. I'd give you mine since it's just taking up space in the garge but shipping would probably be prohibitive. Changing it out is pretty easy to DIY, for someone who's done it before it's probably a half hour job. I can't imagine a broken spot weld being the issue since the bar is aluminum but maybe it's a loose nut or something like that.
I feel like your estimates are kind of high, I think I'll be in for $800, which isn't much and weight increase will be under 100 net once you fsactyor in the weight of the oem crash bar, 100 pounds on a vehicle that weight 5200 pounds in daily trim or closer 6k in camping load isn't much at all.

I thought the same, but I had to buy an additional $500 in other stuff to do my winch install that I didn't initially think about.

In total I am probably around 1500$ into it.
Warn 10VR with a steel rope 576$
Harbor freight 12k synthetic Rope 120$
LFD winch mount 505$
Factor 55 fairlead 88$
Factor 55 rope protector 75.20$
Custom made power cables from Spartan Power with Anderson connectors. 60$
Harbor freight power isolator 20$
400 amp inline fuse 40$
Winch line weight

The other stuff added up.

I also bought some stuff I havent used yet like a relay setup to a in cabin switch. That was another $100.

My project backlog is spicy...

do not cut the honeycomb in the grill based on pictures. my mount was not perfectly symmetrical.
I'm actually hoping to run some sort of spacer between the Fairlead and the Winch mount that would pass through the grill without needing to cut it.
