How under powered?

Ive always wondered when I see these, do you think they are way under powered? I know some have a V6, at least for 1990.
Not sure what they weight.

I know a fella who took the camper part off of one, closed the back of the cab up & put a flat bed on it.
Still slow but can haul a lot & looks cool.
