One side came off fine. Backed off the brake shoes and tapped the drum a few times and it came right off. Other side does not budge. backed the brakes shoes off all the way..still won't move. Tried PB Blaster and a 2lb dead blow hammer...will not move. Is the only alternative to buy/use a puller?

Thanks!!

yep that works, I think they are 8mm bolts with 12mm heads, but you might have to have a puller, I want to say I got a piece of channel
drilled 2 holes, lined up with the 2 holes mentioned above, drilled one hole in the middle, and either tapped it or welded a nut on one side, then used teh center bolt to pull the drum off the axel,,, not sure how to say it

I think when I screwed in the first 2 mentioned bolts one of them into a void,, but it has been a while since I have done it, I will be doing it again this week,,, Ill repost to let you know what I come up with

Dumb question......the E-brake is not on right:confused:

No E-brake. The other one came off fine.

I will try again this weekend.

As a side note, I got some brake shoes from Rockauto.com and the wrong shoes were in the right box! So, called them and they are sending a new set (after checking the size inside) for no cost! They told me to keep the first set and they will decide whether to get them sent back or not. Can't figure out what these are for...the lining width is only 3/4 inch... Cool place to get parts, though!!

Got the drum off. One bolt stripped almost immediately. Tightened the other one slowly while prying on the other side of the drum. Had to wedge in the pry bar and hammer it around between the drum and backing plate and then heard a POP! Thought the drum broke but it unstuck..finally.

Thanks, guys!
