How to properly remove register vents on driver side.

Replacing floppy vents on my 97.
Question is for these two on the driver side (which I am replacing) seems like they disconnect from the back as opposed to the front like the clock and passenger side.

Is it possible to slide these guys in or does the top dash panel need to come off. Doesn’t seem too bad of a project but I’ve never done this before.

Tips or pointing me in the right direction is appreciated

Yah seems the dash needs to come off to do it right. I’ll do a write up when I get it figured out

I bought four new dash AC vents for my LC. I am looking for some basic help in how to go about removing the old ones and installing the new ones. Hopefully, the dash doesn't have to come apart or off. Thoughts and advice please? Thanks in advance.
