How to make rare m5 .9 pitch screws (found on early-67) PICS included

That HF set is junk. I have a lot of good HF tools, but the tap and die set is not one of them.
I might agree with you there- it's looks like just carbon steel, one time-use only. But for small projects it does come with. A lot of thread pitches and all the handles. I used one tap and it lost its bite after 2 holes.

Came across this UK site that has M5x0.9 in 10 different lengths from 10mm to 45mm. Not sure about shipping though.

@Belmetric, but only 30mm

Oh, nice! That works! The only minor issue is the head isn't domed. I would use those, though.

The rear hatch M5 screws are still available at Toyota (at least in Japan)!
93219-15010 : Screws that hold in place the 2 locks on the right and left
94511-00500 : Split washers to go with previous screws
94611-10500 : Regular washer for previous screws
93530-14014 : Screws holding the visit trap of the hatch. PN is misleading but I believe they should be M5
93239-15012 : Screws holding the inside handle

And a bonus I deducted from the last one :
93239-15016 : Screw for the one year 1974 front door handles.

All of the listed above I ordered mostly from Amayama or sometime from European equivalent. Some of them were in back order from supplier with 1 month delay and I had my quantities reduced (always ordered more to have backup and was often reduced to 10 or 5).

Seems like those wouldn't be 0.9mm pitch though. (?) That first part number crosses to screws in some Prius models.

Haven't measured the pitch so not sure about that but they are the PN in the EPC and they fit.
Before to order those I wasn't able to find screws that fit my missing ones on the hatch so that seemed coherent to me with a non-ISO pitch.

From Amayama it seems this screw was everywhere since the doom of time:
Lexus LS400 Lexus LS430 Toyota 4Runner Toyota Camry Toyota Carina Toyota Carina II Toyota Celica Toyota Celsior Toyota Century Toyota Coaster Toyota Corolla Toyota Corona Toyota Crown Toyota Crown Majesta Toyota Harrier Toyota Heavy Duty Truck Toyota Hiace Toyota Hilux Toyota Land Cruiser Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Toyota Lite Ace Toyota Mark II Toyota Mark X Toyota Prius Toyota Publica Toyota Regius Toyota Regius Ace Toyota Sprinter Trueno Toyota T.U.V Toyota Tercel Toyota ToyoAce

The whole point of this thread is the rare, discontinued 0.9 thread pitch.
