so an idiot (me) left my windows cracked by accident last night and a Florida rain storm came through and the back seats got soaked... tryed to dry them as best as possible today with towel and shopvac. they still seem damp in the cushion... any suggestions thanks guys

If you have secured parking (garage) roll down the windows and put a box fan behind the row. Let it run all night and it will do wonders.

Did the rain warp any of the door panels?

I used an radiant oil space heater (no exposed heating element) and left it going for a night or two with a box fan blowing, and cracked the windows in a garage to let the humidity escape. Finally to get the last bit of moisture, boat supply places sell desiccant bags that remove humidity--in Florida I would make sure the windows are up when using the desiccant. On second thought, in Florida, you may want to use both methods so the humidity doesn't condense in the electronics.

I used this technique on my daughters leaky PITA BMW--it had standing water on the floor. after a day it was dry as a bone. A recurrent problem that we never found the source of the leak, so we gave the POS away.

This.

Doesn’t have to be super-powered fan. Just has to circulate the moisture as it’s drawn out. I’ve even used 12” battery powered O2 Cool fans on trips...by setting face down against the floor/carpet over night.
Excellent results.

^^ Yeah, we use this technique everywhere. Circulation removes the humidity directly around the wet surface and allows for rapid evaporation. When we need to quickly clean carpets in our vacation rental we can go to bed with wet carpet and wake up with them completely dry. No heat required, just circulation.

both great ideas but unfortunately I was not home when this happened and could not use the industrial fan I have at home..
So all I could do in the location I was in was to turn on the heat and seat heaters.. i let the Land Cruiser run for about an hour like that the seats got really hot surprisingly. Everything seems to be okay but it's hard to tell what's going on underneath the leather also the door panel seam okay from what I can tell anyway thanks for the input guys

carpet seem to be okay. I remove the plastic threshold covers where you enter the door there was water under there also seems to be okay now hopefully...

You can pop the door jam plastic cover off quite easily by popping up the plastic screw cap on the step in front of the wheel well (second row).

With the door jam off, you can inspect the floor under the carpet a bit.

If you get residual smells...keep drying if damp, and use Fabreeze. The stuff truly does wonders with odor elimination.
