Totally! Not only that but I got upgraded too. The old ones were the 5 position rs9000's which are no longer made so I got the 9000xl's that have 9 positions. It was a pretty painless ordeal. I had to fax in a copy of my title of the truck I bought them for from the general time when I bought the shocks and they emailed me a form to take to an authorized dealer and exchanged the shocks. Now I have shiny new ones for the rear. Now I need at least one to go out for the front and I'll get a new pair for the front!

Got to say that the Doetsch tech shocks seem to be ok. Have only yard driven it(hilly terrain, rocks and dirt), but they seem pretty good to me. Better than what was on it! Have it registered and insured and on the road this week and will post on road-ability then. My rig is to be daily driven w/ decent off road ability @ +3"s or so and on 33s. Do like was recommended to me and go to their site and find the P/N that best matches your measurements and tell them that you want the stroke and compressed height of the shock P/N you found and tell them you're front stem top, eye bottom, and eye/eye rears. They will ask you about your truck for the hardware they add. Don't let their techs pic "the right shock" for you, tell them what you want-nicely, of course. No boots tho:meh:

Good info. Any website addresses with sizing charts would be great. I've spent hours looking for front shocks and either get the wrong (FJ 40) part or "we can't help you...it's too old".
Any sites would help and I'm going to do all 4 now so I don't have to chase this info down again later for the rears.
The P/Ns listed previously were great, but I have 2" lift, not 3-4" so I need to do my own research on whatever great sites any of you can list.
Thanks!:bang:

as was said earlier in this thread:

Get measurements of full droop and compression, and make a phone call

Talk to someone, DO NOT just order on the web

Google doetsch tech and click on their misc window, go to specs.....get YOUR measurements ala Bogus and others. Same can be done for any good manufacturer. Key points are type of fastener(stud or eye), compressed length, extended length AND your rigs specific measurements. I have found that the product I went with feels good. However- I am also finding that I need some ford or other front shock mounts and some longer stroke shocks. There is more suspension drop out than I realized. Measure CAREFULLY. I went with a 13.5" compressed length and should have gone the 14.5. The rears are 14.5 compressed and seem to be right on for my springs/shackles and bumper weight. have to go finish pulling t case now, more on this when I gets smore miles put on them.
